High School Diploma

Through our partnership with John Muir Charter School (JMCS), students who complete the required 200 earn their high school diplomas. Students can earn up to 100 credits each academic year.

Unlike traditional high schools, JMCS uses a project-based, interdisciplinary curriculum model that relies on authentic assessments and applied learning. Students are empowered to take what they learn in the classroom into their communities to promote social justice through volunteerism and advocacy.

At the end of each trimester, students work together with teachers to create a culminating community action project. CCEO YouthBuild’s past community action projects have included a community health fair and leading a series of workshops for local elementary school students on issues of social justice.
