SOUTH BAY WORKFORCE INVESTMENT BOARD

Meet Terinn Holman
Terinn Holman graduated with a bachelor’s degree in communications in 2023, eager to start her career but struggling to find employment. Remembering the support, she’d received from the Inglewood One Stop in her youth, Terinn returned to the South Bay Workforce Investment Board (SBWIB) for guidance.
The Inglewood One Stop team helped her enroll in a Paid Work Experience program, placing her as an administrative assistant for Councilwoman Katrina Manning at Hawthorne City Hall. This opportunity enriched her resume and confidence, leading her to a role as a Public Relations Specialist with the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. Terinn’s story is a testament to persistence, potential, and the power of mentorship.
“The One Stop Center helped me build incredible connections and I had a great experience. I learned to never shy away from seizing an opportunity, even if the environment is unfamiliar or success feels uncertain.”
