Meet Kennedy Aaron

Workforce Challenge:

At 21, Kennedy Aaron sought employment assistance through the South Bay One-Stop in Carson due to her lack of work history. After completing the intake process, she enrolled in the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and Youth @ Work programs.

Workforce Solution:

With the support of her youth case manager and job developer, Kennedy received career counseling, interview preparation, and resume assistance. She completed a 160-hour paid work experience with Fresh and Meaty, followed by 300 additional hours of work experience through the Department of Rehabilitation.

Outcome and Benefits:

Discovering her passion for meal preparation, Kennedy secured a position at Grace Care Corporation, serving the elderly and individuals with disabilities in her community.

The Carson OneStop helped her build incredible connections and gain great experience.
