Yasmine Brown, a young mother of three from Inglewood, came to the South Bay One-Stop Business & Career Center seeking a stable career to support her family. Though she had worked as a certified cosmetologist, the inconsistent income led her to pursue a more secure path in healthcare. With support from the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) program, she developed a personalized employment plan and enrolled in a free CNA training program at Los Angeles Southwest College.

The One-Stop team provided uniforms, books, and essential supplies. Yasmine completed her training and became a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). She soon secured a full-time CNA position at Playa Del Rey Center, earning $23 per hour and achieving the stability she set out to find.
