Meet Tonya Haynes

Tonya Haynes, a Call Center Operations Executive with over 20 years of experience, was laid off from her director role due to corporate restructuring. Facing a tough job market with recruiters who ghosted her and misleading job postings, she turned to the South Bay One-Stop Business & Career Center in Torrance for support.

Enrolled in the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) program, Tonya began training at the Oxford Institute of Technology, earning certifications in Project Management, ITIL, Six Sigma, Lean, and PMP. With updated credentials and help from her career counselor, she received targeted job leads and interview coaching. She soon secured a role at Ares Management LLC. Tonya credits the One-Stop Center for helping her return to the workforce stronger and more confident.

“Don’t stay at home being depressed about losing a job. Take advantage of the services, programs and training opportunities the One-Stop Center provides. The job market out there can be difficult to navigate.”
