Maria Salazar Rivera of Lawndale, successfully completed an Aero-Flex pre-apprenticeship through the
SBWIB/ El Camino College/ Northrop Grumman Corporation (NGC), during her high school education at Leuzinger High School. She then subsequently got hired by NGC full-time as a machining apprentice.

This past winter, the Leuzinger graduate completed her apprenticeship and continued with NGC while she was also finishing an engineering degree at Cal Poly Pomona.
