Meet Jeremiah Richardson
Jeremiah Richardson, an Inglewood resident, wanted to move from unstable gig work with Instacart to a long-term career in construction and safety. Motivated to unlock his potential, he attended a Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) info session and qualified for both WIOA Adult services and the Maxine Waters Employment Preparation grant.
With career guidance and an Individual Employment Plan, he enrolled in a five-week training program. He earned certifications in HAZWOPER 40, OSHA, Blueprint Reading, and more.
After completing training, Jeremiah worked with the Job Development Team and secured a full-time job as a Hazardous Material Handler with Kiewit Infrastructure, earning $46.88 per hour, launching a stable, rewarding career.
