Meet Majesty Goodlow
Majesty Goodlow, a survivor of domestic violence, faced homelessness and lived in her car with her son. Despite these challenges, she earned five associate degrees and six certificates from Compton College. Ready to enter the workforce, she needed support to overcome barriers like trauma, housing instability, and limited experience.
At the South Bay One-Stop Business & Career Center in Carson, she received housing assistance, counseling, childcare, and career services. Leadership and job readiness workshops strengthened her skills, while career counseling helped her leverage her education. With renewed confidence and stability, Majesty secured a position with KRA Corporation. Her journey reflects a powerful transition from hardship to hope, building a stable future for herself and her son.
“If you’re facing domestic violence or homelessness, know that help is available. The support I received gave me safety, confidence, and the tools to rebuild. You’re not alone— reach out. There’s hope, and better days ahead.”
