Meet Glenn Crenshaw
Workforce Challenge:
After being laid off from his job as a delivery driver with Fast Track Expediting due to downsizing, Glenn Crenshaw, a Carson resident, turned to the SBWIB Carson One-Stop to see how he could get back into the workforce.

Workforce Solution:
Working with career counselors to determine his short and long term career goals, Glenn decided to pursue his Class A Driver’s License and was enrolled into a Heavy Equipment Driver course at College of Instrument Technology.
Outcome and Benefits:
Shortly after he completed his training in February 2020, CIT provided him with employment leads. A few days later he got a job offer with Western Express, Inc. as a Class A truck driver starting at $32.14 per hour.
