Meet Abdul Robertson

After 23 weeks of unemployment, Inglewood resident Abdul Robertson sought assistance from the South Bay One-Stop Employment Service Center. Formerly an operations manager, Mr. Robertson faced challenges in reentering the field due to the need for a Project Manager certification.

Through the center’s support, he received funding to complete project management and human resources courses at the University of La Verne. Additionally, he was provided a laptop, which allowed him to study online, update his resume, and attend interviews. With his new certifications and skills, Mr. Robertson successfully secured a position as an operations manager, grateful for the center’s resources that made his career advancement possible.
