Employment and Pre-Employment Services for Youth

Services for youth, 14-21 years of age, assist in developing work skills and habits required for the world of work and entry level employment. Year-round and in-school programs include training for temporary, part-time and full-time employment in public and non-profit agencies. The summer Youth Employment and Training Programs provides work experience for youth in public and non-profit organizations during the summer months.

To find out if you qualify for this program:

1. Call the South Bay One-Stop Center in Gardena at (310) 217-9579 to set up an appointment with an employment specialist to become oriented with the availible services and benifits they offer.

2. Bring a resume if possible. If you have trouble writing a resume, assemble as much information as possible reguarding your past employment including details concerning job duties.

3. Come to the center on the date of your appointment and bring photo identification.

In order to recieve services all young adults must sign up for the selective service.
