Services for Dislocated Workers Workers laid off due to plant closure or downsizing, or who have been out of work for prolonged periods, may be eligible to recieve retraining/transition services including on-the-job training, classroom training or customized training in demand occupations. Training for dislocated workers is designed to re-employ individuals by developing and matching transferable skills with job opportunities in growing industries. Services for Dislocated Workers are available on the 1st floor of the South Bay One-Stop in Gardena. To find out if you qualify for this program: 1.Call the South Bay One-Stop Center in Gardena at (310) 217-9579 to set up an appointment with an employment specialist to become oriented with the availible services and benifits they offer. 2.Bring a current resume. If you don't already have a resume, assemble as much information as possible reguarding your employment for the past ten years including details concerning job duties. 3.Come to the center on the date of your appointment and bring photo identification.
