Join us in celebrating
the new location of the South Bay Workforce Investment Board (formerly the
South Bay Private Industry Council) at their Open House scheduled for May 17,
2001. It will be held from 4:00 to 6:00
pm. Their new address is 11539 Hawthorne
Blvd., Suite 500, in the City of Hawthorne.
“The South Bay Workforce Investment Board is a valuable asset to the
communities that it serves, and everyone should come see their new
administrative facility,” stated Mayor Larry Guidi of Hawthorne. The South Bay Workforce Investment Board
(SBWIB) can assist businesses with a variety of employment issues, including
job training and retraining for existing employees. For businesses facing layoffs they will assist your employees in
assessing their existing skills to determine if the best course of action is to
obtain new training and or direct employment referral. The SBWIB operates six service centers
throughout the South Bay, fully equipped and ready to serve all of the publics
employment and job training needs. For more information please call (310)
