The South Bay One-Stop Business & Career Center, in cooperation with
the Hawthorne Chamber of Commerce, will be hosting a free seminar on Wednesday,
March 14th, 2001, for small businesses in Hawthorne who would like
to gain access to free marketing information and how-to advice from marketing
professionals.
Topics to be covered during the seminar include: how to use the media
for free coverage of your business; setting up a two-page website; listing your
service on local community television stations and radio; and producing
inexpensive marketing brochures and newspaper ads.
Mayor of Hawthorne Larry Guidi will present attendees with a welcoming
address. Speakers will include Lisa
Miller of the City of Hawthorne Business License/Code Enforcement Division,
Jack Roberts, Reporter for the California Crusader News, Larry Bender, Director
of the Hawthorne Cable Usage Corporation, Greg Johnson, Director of Marketing
for 102.3 FM KJLH and Ron Delahoussaye, Marketing Coordinator for the South Bay
Workforce Investment Board.
The Hawthorne Small Business Seminar will be held at the
South Bay workforce Investment Board administrative office located at 11539
