The
El Segundo Adult School will receive 10 new high speed, fully loaded computers
equipped with the latest technology including what is known as a Virtual Access
Point, compliments of the South Bay Workforce Investment Board (SBWIB). The computers have been designated to the El
Segundo Adult School as part of the SBWIB’s commitment to education and the
overall advancement of the residents of the South Bay Area.
The
Virtual Access Point (VAP), which will accompany the 10 computers, consists of
a mounted two-way audiovisual system connected via high speed Internet access
to Career Counselors and Job developers at six South Bay One-Stop Business
& Career Centers conveniently located throughout the South Bay. The VAP will ad a human element to the high
tech upgrade being brought to the El Segundo Adult School, courtesy of the
SBWIB.
