May 6, 2001
Northrop Grumman Fairgrounds

Hosted by the Cuban American Cultural Institute, which is a non-profit organization founded in November, 1996 by a group of Cuban Americans from different walks of life, including renowned experts in various disciplines. The organization was created to promote our cultural traditions and to showcase our contribution to our adoptive country in the fields of classical and popular music, cinema, theater, the visual arts, literature, dance, history, and philosophy. More than 20,000 people attended the Festival and the South Bay Workforce Investment Board was a major sponsor of this very beneficial community event.
